Practical Action Consulting, the consulting arm of the NGO, Practical Action will be conducting a short course on Responding to Climate Change.

Course Title : Responding to Climate Change:
Knowledge Based Strategies for Mitigation and Adaptation at Community Level

Course Objectives
At the end of the training, participants are expected to:
„« Explain what climate change is, its causes and evidence,
„« Better understand the concepts, methods and procedures for climate vulnerability and adaptation analysis,
„« Be able to apply scientifically sound, objective, and systematic methods and procedures of risk analysis in determining the vulnerable and risk-prone areas and systems, and risk-efficient alternatives,
„« Assess and compare the applicability and specificity of various response measures and options to adapt, mitigate, or cope up with the different sources of risks to decrease risk and vulnerability (or increase resilience);
„« Formulate and develop an action plan for addressing and managing risks due to weather and climate change risks in livelihood systems as applicable to their context or sphere of influence.
A certificate of participation will be issued at the end of the course
